Overview
The Demon Army/ Cheer squad is an official section of the Melbourne Football Club. The members of this group come from diverse and varying backgrounds and are a true reflection of a changing and modern society. The group has one uniting element and that is a shared passion for the Melbourne Football Club.
Aim
The Demon Army endeavours to provide an inclusive, safe and secure environment where all members can join to watch, cheer and support our team.
We recognise the different challenges, guidelines, and accommodations that we need to make for our varied members who have specific needs.
Actions/Expectations
Demon Army Members and guests will:
All Demon Army Members will abide by Australian laws that protect all individuals from discrimination, bigotry, isolation, and exclusion. This may include, but is not limited to behaviours related to sexuality, culture, disability, gender, socio-economic status, or faith.

Demon Army Members and guests will:
- Treat others with dignity, respect and consideration
- Consider the impact of your conduct and behaviour on others
- Focus on commonalities to bring people together in a safe space free from discrimination
- Be inclusive, value others and welcome differences
- Collaborate with representative groups, organisations and individuals to connect with people in an appropriate way.
- Create visibility in our Demon Army so that people needing support can identify that we are a safe community to engage with.
- Model inclusive behaviours in person and online, and maintain zero tolerance to bullying, harassment, or any inappropriate or discriminatory behaviours.
- Call out any disrespectful or inappropriate behaviour. This may involve directly challenging inappropriate actions or involving ground staff.
- Work with our New Members team to help all new members and visitors in the Demon Army to feel welcome.
