What's happening...

SLEEP AT THE G IN 2023

On Wednesday May 10, an intrepid team of 9 Demon Army members (plus an MFC board member!) braved the cold and slept at the G to help raise funds for Melbourne's homeless youth.

We're helping MCM put youth homelessness to bed in support of more than 6,000 young people experiencing homelessness every night in Victoria. Young people need more than a safe place to live, they need stability and support to develop life skills, heal from trauma, and to transition to independence. Your support is needed now more than ever.
Our team raised a whopping $4106! And confirmed a mutual love of salt & vinegar chips..

Now to plan for next year's event...

​FAMILY AREA AT THE G
For our home games at the MCG, we've secured an area behind the goals next to the Demon Army suitable for families with small kids. We're not going to become a creche but it would be great to have a space at the MCG that was close to the action but not in the middle of it. The good folk at the MFC will send the mascots over and we'll get some fun stuff happening (face painters, little flags, stickers, etc)

DO YOU BLEED RED AND BLUE? WE DO!
Join our blood donor program and help saves lives. Red25 is a unique program set up by the Australian Red Cross Blood Service. OUR VISIT TO THE "MCG OF THE DESERT"
In 2022, we were lucky enough to be invited out to Santa Teresa to meet the locals, have a kick of the footy and check out the project we watched from afar during Covid-19 - the grassing of their oval. This amazing transformation was courtesy of the combined efforts of the MFC, MCC and a host of other contributors. Read more

CONGRATULATIONS ALISON!
Our Presidents Club raffle was drawn last week and Alison Wigg was the lucky winner. Alison and a friend will be dining in style at the match against Fremantle. This raffle raised $1.5K, which is amazing. These funds go straight back to the club to help pay for our Ed Langdon sponsorship. And our sponsorship package is the reason we had the tickets in the first place!​
