Brisbane
GABBA
The GABBA first hosted Australian Rules football in 1981 when Hawthorn played Essendon. After that the Brisbane Bears began playing at the ground in 1991, and then from 1993 to 1996. After the merge between Fitzroy and the Brisbane Bears to create the Brisbane Lions, the Lions have played a majority of their home games at the ground.
Between 2001 and 2007, Melbourne sold a home to the GABBA. In 2020, the GABBA hosted 35 games due to the COVID 19 pandemic. This included the AFL Grand Final. The GABBA is set to be the main stadium of the 2032 Olympic Games. As a result of this, the GABBA will be fully redeveloped and out of action for three and a half years. This is TBC. Getting there
