All my life!

How did you become a Melbourne supporter?
My mum's family are all Melbourne supporters and I had the option if I wanted to go to the footy, I could go to Melbourne games - a very easy decision. My father converted to Melbourne when South Melbourne moved to Sydney.

How long have you been in the cheer squad? And what made you decide to join?
Sophie convinced my family to join when she, Suzanne and Ryan relaunched as the Demon Army. You will see me behind the goals at non-MCG matches.

Favourite current player?
Not allowed to have favourites.

Favourite Melbourne player ever?
Loved Neville Jetta as a player and a person.

Favourite game?
Toss up between the great comeback v Freo in 2008 and watching the 2021 GF in the lounge room.
I never thought I would live through a Melbourne premiership, and after the Freo game I met one of my now best friends at a Stereophonics gig straight after the match.

Greatest player ever? This can be from any club. 
Maybe recency bias, but I think Max Gawn is one of the best players ever. If only I could watch him kick for goal 🫣.

Highest point in your footballing career
2021 Grand Final. I worked out that from Bont's goal in the third quarter to the final siren is the length of our washing machine cycle. Time to put on another load of washing. 
 
Lowest point in your footballing career
Probably the Essendon 148 match - a miserable day at the football.

Any football superstitions?
Try not to wear any colours associated with the opposition team.

Craziest thing you've ever done for the Dees.
​Hmm there a few options, but going to China to see the Dees win the Kaspersky Cup - I was convinced this might be the only silverware we would win for a long time.
