Meet our Members - Sally
We won't ask you your age but how long have you been a Melbourne supporter?
45 years! My way or the highway at birth were my options! How did you become a Melbourne supporter? Mum and dad were both dees supporters so I had no choice. Mum’s uncle Keith Carroll played for the Dees in the 1950s. How long have you been in the cheer squad? And what made you decide to join? I was an active member all through the 90s after wanting to get involved during the “red seat” days as a teenager. I’m more of a quiet member these days but you’ll see me at away games. Favourite current player? My household are all big Judd McVee fans. Favourite Melbourne player ever? Stephen Tingay/Shane Woewodin dead heat. Favourite game? GF is too obvious so let’s go the final round of 2021! Greatest player ever? This can be from any club. Probably Abblett senior but I want to say Max Gawn really! Highest point in your footballing career Has to be 2021! Lowest point in your footballing career 1996 thinking we were going to merge. Any football superstitions? Not really! Craziest thing you've ever done for the Dees. Probably unveiling the banned “No Merger” banner on level 4 during 1996. If you know you know! |
