We won't ask you your age but how long have you been a Melbourne supporter?
I've been a Melbourne supporter since birth, so that's 52 years of dedication! How did you become a Melbourne supporter? I come from a Melbourne-barracking family, so I had no choice but to support the Demons. Favourite current player? Our captain Max Gawn. His leadership both on and off the field is truly inspiring, demonstrating what a great role model he is. Favourite Melbourne player ever? Being a teenager in the 80s it must be Robert Flower. Favourite game? Melbourne defeating Essendon 8.10 (58) to 8.6 (54) to win the 1987 Night Series Grand Final at VFL Park. Greatest player ever? This can be from any club. Gary Ablett Senior – a true legend of the game! Highest point in your footballing career Winning the 2021 Grand Final. It was an unforgettable moment, and a dream come true for any Melbourne supporter born after 1964! Lowest point in your footballing career Melbourne exiting the 2022 final series in straight games. We all had such high hopes after winning the 2021 Grand Final, and I was really hoping we could go back-to-back. Any football superstitions? Never eat donuts before half time. Craziest thing you've ever done for the Dees. Signing up to Demons army as I never thought I would be a member of footy cheer squad. But being part of the Demons army has truly changed my life. It's not just about attending games with like minded supporters; it's about the sense of community and belonging. I've made lifelong friends who share the same passion, and it's given me a deeper connection to the team I support. |
