All major airlines fly into Sydney, with the flight taking about 1hr 25 from Melbourne. The airport is about 8km from the city centre. If you're heading into the city by taxi or Uber, you can expect the journey to take about 20 minutes and cost between $45-$55. If you'd prefer to get the train, the airport Airport Link has trains running into the city approximately every 10 minutes. The station is located at the northern end of the terminal and accessible from the Arrivals level. To use this service, you can either purchase an Opal Card from the station or WH Smith, or tap on with your Amex, Visa or Mastercard. HEADING TO THE GROUND Although the SCG is close to the city, there is not a train station that is easily accessible. Walking from Central Station to the SCG takes 25 minutes and depending on what route you take, can be quite a strenuous walk. From experience, this walk in much more bearable if you stop and eat/drink at the pubs along the way! Your best bet is either an Uber or the Moore Park Light rail. This departs from Circular Quay (look for the L3 light rails) and only takes 19 minutes. Your match day ticket allows you free travel on public transport to and from the ground Follow this link for the full list of SCG public transport options. WHERE WE SIT The Demon Army sit in Bay 2, in the Don Bradman Stand. The first few rows are left empty, which is perfect for dumping all our gear.
