Using Microsoft Teams for the first time

The Demon Army members meeting is being conducted online using Microsoft Teams. Many of our members will have access to MS Teams already but some wouldn't. And some are already panicking about an upcoming battle with technology!

Never fear. Our easy instructions will help you get through it.

One you've registered for the session, you'll receive an email invitation to attend. The invitation will include a link to the meeting. You can trial the link prior to the meeting if you're unsure.

1. Open the Invitation Email
2. Click on the Meeting Link:
   • Locate and click on the provided meeting link within the email. It may look like "Join Microsoft Teams Meeting" or similar.
3. Join as a Guest:
   • You will be redirected to the Microsoft Teams web page. Look for the option to join as a guest or without a Microsoft account.
4. Enter Your Name:
   • Enter your name in the provided field. This is the name that will be displayed during the meeting.
5. Set Your Audio and Video Preferences:
   • Choose your audio and video preferences before joining the meeting. You can select your microphone and camera settings.
6. Join the Meeting:
   • Click on the "Join Now" or similar button to join the Teams meeting.
7. Participate in the Meeting:
   • Once admitted, you can participate in the meeting, chat with other participants, and collaborate as needed.

Note:

• Browser Compatibility:
  • Microsoft Teams is compatible with various web browsers. Ensure that you are using a supported browser for the best experience.
• Joining from Mobile Devices:
  • If you're joining from a mobile device, you may need to download the Microsoft Teams app from the respective app store.

By following these steps, individuals without Microsoft accounts can successfully join Microsoft Teams meetings as guests.
